Brussels College is in the advanced stages of transitioning into a fully Belgian NVAO (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie) accredited higher education institution. This strategic milestone will position our graduates to hold Belgian-state-recognised qualifications, maximising their employability and academic progression opportunities within Flanders, Belgium and the EU.

Brussels College is in the process of transitioning into a fully Belgian NVAO (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie) accredited higher education institution. NVAO is the independent accreditation organisation for higher education in the Netherlands and Flanders, Belgium — recognised across the entire European Higher Education Area (EHEA).

What this means for you

Your qualification will carry the full weight of Belgian state recognition, opening doors to further studies and careers across the EU without the need for additional equivalency procedures.

Beroepskwalificerende Trajecten (BKT)

Brussels College's Beroepskwalificerende Trajecten (BKT) are professional qualification pathways structured within the Flemish educational framework and aligned with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). They are recognised by Werk en Sociale Economie (WSE) and designed to bridge the gap between academic achievement and labour market readiness.

BKT Level 6 — EQF Bachelor Equivalent

Programmes aligned with EQF Level 6 are legally equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. Graduates demonstrate advanced professional competencies, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage complex tasks independently within their field.

BKT Level 7 — EQF Master Equivalent

Programmes aligned with EQF Level 7 are legally equivalent to a Master's degree. Graduates possess advanced specialist knowledge, strategic leadership capabilities, and research-informed professional practice.
