Award: MSc
Duration: 2 Years, Full-Time

Course Overview

This MSc in Data Analytics and Technologies, awarded by the University of Greater Manchester and delivered by WINC, is open to computing graduates and those with extensive relevant work experience who want to launch a career in data analysis, data visualisation, and the technologies that underpin them.

The programme combines the technical side of data analytics with the interpersonal and employability skills — leadership, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, problem-solving — that employers actually look for. You'll work with a range of data analytics software packages, apply them to contemporary case studies, and build the practical skills to interrogate data, extract insight, and communicate it clearly. The programme also includes support materials toward Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner certification (note: achieving AWS certification itself is not part of the degree's learning outcomes and requires additional independent study).

Career Opportunities

Demand for data skills spans nearly every sector — healthcare, government, marketing, telecommunications, energy, finance and more. Graduates go on to roles such as data analyst or data scientist, working on trend analysis, business intelligence, dashboards and visualisation, or marketing and consumer analytics. The degree also provides a sound basis for further study, including doctoral-level research.
