Course Overview

This MSc in Software Engineering, awarded by the University of Greater Manchester and delivered by WINC, gives graduates with a computing and programming background the advanced skills and knowledge to develop their career in this in-demand global industry.

This is an intensely practical programme, honing your creative thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills through realistic scenarios. You'll study the latest methodologies and development techniques, and deepen your understanding of design patterns and contemporary software engineering practice — including issues like localisation, since software engineering is an international field unconstrained by geography.

Entry Requirements

• Normally a lower second class (2:2) honours degree in a computer science-related subject or software engineering.
• Relevant work experience considered in lieu of, or alongside, academic qualifications, case-by-case.
• An interview and/or portfolio of work may be required.
• IELTS 6.0 overall (no band below 5.5), or equivalent, if English is not your first language.
